Toronto Region Advisory Committee: Collaboration with Increased Impact

About

The CAS/VAW Toronto Region Advisory Committee is a community based advisory group that flows important information and recommendations to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS). The Committee works across both sectors to increase collaboration and enhance service delivery for women and children.

Membership on the Committee is organizational and may include one representative from each signatory organization. The CAS/VAW Advisory Committee has been active since 2004 and has accomplished a great deal over the past decade. Since its inception, Committee members have worked well together in an organic and emergent way to oversee the implementation of the CAS/VAW Collaboration Agreement.

The CAS/VAW Advisory Committee is undertaking its work in an increasingly complex environment. More than ever, strategic, integrated and coordinated responses and actions are needed so that it can continue to promote and mobilize increased collaboration and networking across the child welfare and VAW sectors, resulting in improved services and responses.
